Bruce Palmer
Bruce is a long-time Lander resident, arriving in 1990 with his wife, Peg, and two kids, Clay and Cole for what they thought was to be a couple of years in the wild West before skedaddling back home to Massachusetts. Thirty-plus years later the Palmers are still here. The family expanded by one with the addition of Loren in 1994.
Bruce worked for NOLS from 1990 until 2018, directing the school's marketing and admission efforts and serving on the executive team.
Since 2018 Bruce has worked as a political consultant and is currently leading the fight for Medicaid expansion as director of the Healthy Wyoming coalition.
The Lander Free Medical Clinic aligns perfectly with Bruce's belief that access to healthcare is a right and that no person, regardless of where they live or how much they have should be denied the care they need to live fulfilling and productive lives.
